Okay, firstly I’m REALLY sorry that this month’s Any One Book has come to you late. It was a mixture of my Internet going down and getting caught up in exciting stuff (which I will bring to you in a different post).

Yes, it is September 3rd at that means it is time to answer the question on everyone’s lips.

What is the book for this month?

Well, as usual I am spoiled for choice. There is much on my bookcase that remains unread. There is book five of The Song of Ice and Fire series, Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility still remains and has been joined by Alice in Wonderland, The Odyssey, Great Expectations, Oliver Twist and Interview With a Vampire. Any One Book #10

Ah, it’s time to choose a new book, but which one to choose.

There are many sitting on my bookshelf screaming out for attention, but which do I listen to? Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen? It’s beseeching me to open its pages, to explore the writings of Austen further, to jump through that window into the past. Continue reading


Any One Book: Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Jane Austen and Seth Grahame-Smith

Just quickly, before I start talking about the book, I finished university yesterday! I handed in my last piece of work and needless to say it feels pretty damn weird!

Anywho, onto the book….remember there will be spoilers.

This is quite an enjoyable book. It’s basically Pride and Prejudice (which I enjoyed very, very much) with a bunch of zombies thrown in for good measure. In fact I think it could’ve used more, which is saying something considering I’m not a massive fan of them. Continue reading
