I’ve already written a post about the amazing feat that David Walliams is doing at the moment. But he’s further earned his hero status today.
Despite the cold temperature that he’s faced from day one and the ‘Thames Tummy’ he’s had since day four David managed to rescue a dog from the river.
He said that while he was swimming he heard a splash, turned around and came face to face with a labrador. Unfortunately Vinny (the dog) has a hip problem and had trouble getting back out of the river. His owner stood at the bank and Walliams swam over and helped the owner get Vinny out of the water.
I know it sounds like a little thing to have done but considering everything the comedian has been through these past few days, the fact that Walliams took the time out to do this one thing, to me, it cements the hero status he has been earning over the past few years.
So far he has raised £500,000 for Sport Relief.
